Top 5 iPhone Web Applications

13/04/2008

Here are my five most-used iPod touch/iPhone webapps. I use my iPod Touch as a laptop replacement for simple internet browsing and emailing and thought it a good idea to share my most used web-apps with the blogging world’s populous.

I consider WPhone one of the most useful webapps out there. Released as a plugin for your Wordpress Blog, WPhone allows you to sign into your blog’s admin area and interact with it using a iPhone-optimised interface.  With the webapp, you are able to perform many of the simple functions found on the usual Wordpress admin UI.   If you are a Wordpress blogger on the move go grab this plugin and all of your basic mobile blogging requirements might be fulfilled at an instant. There are a couple of other similar plugins found online, but I consider this the most fully-featured of the lot.

  2. Facebook
This is an obvious webapp to feature in any top-ten list. The Facebook webapp gives you a fantastic interface to interact with your Facebook account on the move, so much so that Apple have used it in some of their iPhone commercials. Whether you are checking your messages, posting on people’s walls, browsing friends’ photos the whole experience is delivered in a complete, (almost) seamless package.   Furthermore, if you have an iPhone you can also touch a friend’s phone number and it will be dialled automatically!
